About the Cottage

Our little vacation Cottage provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Cottage is situated on a 10-acre lot, and although we live on the property as well, our home is situated to ensure the privacy of our guests during their visit.

Siskiyou County is an area known for its abundant outdoor recreational opportunities. The Cottage is centrally located in Scott Valley which is surrounded by three wilderness areas, the Trinity Alps, Russian, and Marble Mountains, through which the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) traverses. For those traveling along the PCT, the Cottage provides a great location to stop, rest, and resupply. Our staff will gladly coordinate with PCT travelers to assist them with travel and resupply needs. Etna Summit is is a good spot to pick up hikers on the PCT. The Kidder Creek trailhead is right up the road, and numerous other trails are just a short drive away.

For off-road bicyclists, motorcyclists and adventure enthusiasts, there are numerous forest service roads to explore throughout Siskiyou County. For those who prefer to stay on the pavement, there are many remote and winding highways that provide some of best riding opportunities in world. We’ve put together several potential riding loops from the cottage that you can see in the Photo Tour section.

If you’re looking for something a little more slow-paced, put your feet up and enjoy a game of corn hole or ping pong with friends, or play a round of darts in the garage.

To unwind at the end of the day, you’ll find plenty of local restaurants and breweries to enjoy, each with its own unique flavor and atmosphere. Aside from the mountain views, you’ll also enjoy the beautiful sunsets, and once the sun goes down our night skies offer excellent star gazing from our patios.
