The kitchen includes a modern gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, and a small refrigerator/freezer.

We also provide a wide assortment of tea for those who prefer tea over coffee.

A weber bar-b-que and corn hole set is also provided for family fun.
There are doors from both the kitchen and master bedroom to the back patio.
A garage is available for parking your car or motorcycles. When not used to store your vehicles it becomes a great playroom.
Ping Pong and darts are available for your use in the garage/playroom.
We have a shop vac and towels should you need to clean your car or motorcycles.
The weber Bar-B-Que and corn hole set are present for your use.
Trash cans and extra chairs for use anywhere needed.
We do get snow during the winter and there's lots of room for snowball fights. The local wilderness areas provide excellent back county skiing, snowboarding, and snow shoeing opportunities as well.

Here's a view of Kidder Creek just a few miles up the road. Drive a little farther and you'll find yourself at the Kidder Creek trailhead in the Marble Mountains.
The cottage is surrounded by three wilderness areas where the views are spectacular. The Trinity Alps border the south side of the valley. The Russians border the southwest side and the Marble Mountains border the west side of the valley.

Deer are common and several tend to stay on the property all year long.

Local Spots
Scott Valley is home to the new Iruai Winery whose vineyard is just a few miles away in Quartz Valley.
Iruai wines have been getting great reviews and they have been experimenting with several varieties that are available for purchase.
One of the oldest breweries in California is in Etna, only about 6 miles from our location.
Brewing great beer since the gold rush era!
Etna Brewery also offers great root beer and has a variety of pub foods to enjoy.
Etna is also home to Denny Bar Co, where you can enjoy various cocktails and enjoy great meal.
The Denny Bar Co. distils their own gin, vodka, whiskey and bourbon.
Patio seating is available in front and along the west side of the restaurant.
The restaurant serves wood fired pizzas and they offer a variety of delicious lunch and dinner options to enjoy.
There are several local small bakeries available in Etna and Fort Jones where you can pick up fresh baked pastries and breads.

Five Mary's Burger House in Fort Jones serves a wide variety of beers, spirits, and great food.
The atmosphere is pure country goodness.
